Nigeria Hign Commision , Dar es Salaam, Tanzania was established in 1962 primarly to encourage diplomatic relations such as cooperation on actions aimed at decolonisation of the African continent as both countries were members of the frontline states.
Also, the two countries continued to enjoy bilateral relations on such issues as the strengthening of the judicial practices and military cooperation that dates back to the early days of Tanzania’s independence. Up to recent the relationship between the two countries has blossomed to providing mutual supports to each other’s candidates at international arena. The High Commission also extends diplomatic and consular duties with the Union of Comoros. To date the High Commission has witnessed the appointments of 13 Heads of Mission. The present High Commissioner, His Excellency, Dr Sahabi Isa Gada presented his letters of credence to Tanzania and Comoros on 2017.
